Free western-fantasy card game

Goblins&Gunslingers

276 real cards, eight factions, five lanes to hold. The whole duel runs in your browser, free, no account.

Early Access on Windows & macOS. In the browser, about 80 MB once, then it just opens.

A duel in progress: five Middle lanes with creatures in them, Cover tokens, and the two Sheriffs' health at 30.
The High Noon clientAs it looks at the table

One click. The whole duel.

It is the real game, not a video of it.

The client you get on Steam is the client in this page. Draw a hand, hold the lanes, outdraw the other Sheriff against the Gunslinger AI, and carry the same account and collection between the browser and the desktop build.

  • 30hit points a Sheriff has to lose before the duel is over.
  • 52cards in a deck, plus two Deputies who ride in when you call them.
  • 7positions on your side: five Middle lanes and two High-Rise roosts.

The board

Five lanes. Two roosts. One Sheriff.

Most card games are a pile facing a pile. This one has ground to hold. Put Cover in a lane and the shot stops there; leave it open and it carries all the way to the Sheriff. Pick a lane and trace it.

What you are looking at

Cover
One per Middle lane. It intercepts anything fired down that lane, and the Sheriff behind it cannot be reached until it is gone.
High-Rise
Two positions behind the line. While concealed, nothing can target them. The first time one attacks, it is exposed for the rest of the duel.
Attacks
Aligned down a lane. Which lane you commit to is most of the game.

The signature

Gnomes build the Golem. Then they climb inside it.

Commit a spell and a Flip-Charged Gnome becomes the Golem it was paired to: same creature, same lane, same damage, same attachments. Your opponent needs two spells of their own to undo it.

Why it matters

Gnome and Golem are one faction for deck-building, so a Gnome deck is always carrying its own late game in its early drops. Timing the flip, and baiting the two spells that reverse it, is the whole conversation.

Two main races to a deck, Beasts as the splash. Every faction plays a different game at the table.
